Layout (Workspace Configuration)

Layout: main

The “Layout” tool is designed for flexible customization of the main program window’s appearance (scene). With its help, you can add, remove, move, and scale astrological tables and the chart itself, creating an ideal workspace for your tasks.

The layout settings window can be opened from the main menu: Settings ➔ Layout, or by right-clicking on an empty spot on the scene and selecting the corresponding item, or by clicking the corresponding icon in the toolbar. After that, all scene objects will be outlined with a red border around their perimeter and can be moved with the mouse.

Main Tab

Background Image and Local Space

  1. You can load a floor plan of your apartment or plot as a background image.
  2. Using a special slider, you can scale the loaded plan to the required size. Holding Ctrl will change the integer part of the value.
  3. The adjacent option allows you to rotate the image by a specified degree, which is necessary if your drawing is not initially aligned strictly to the cardinal directions (North-South).
  4. In this case, it will be necessary to make the background of the chart elements transparent by activating the corresponding option below.

Managing Scene Tables

Layout: tables The scene consists of the graphical chart and “Scene Tables” — information blocks (for example, coordinate list, aspect grid, day/hour rulers, etc.) that are arranged around the chart.

Note: tables will be displayed on screen only if the global display option is enabled in the main menu (hotkey T).

Thanks to the Tables outside the scene option, tables can be positioned outside the scene. If the option is not active, their position will be automatically adjusted depending on the scene dimensions.

Saving Changes

All layout changes are tied to your current working configuration, so if you want all layout changes to be saved, you need to save the configuration.

Scene Tables

Coordinates

A graphical variant of the parent table. This table can display various astronomical and astrological characteristics corresponding to the positions of objects and cusps of the current dial. From the context menu, you can select which data to show, in what format, whether to include cusps, whether to draw a grid, and set the font color for the 2nd dial data.

30-Degree Scale

A graphical variant of the parent table. This scale can be stretched/compressed horizontally. To do this, hold the CTRL key and drag any edge of the scale with the mouse in the desired direction. From the context menu, you can select which cusps to show.

Essential Dignities

A graphical variant of the parent table. From the context menu, you can select whether to show only the septener and/or only the total.

Day and Hour Rulers

In addition to the rulers of the time of day and the hour, shows the sequential number of the hour ruler in the diurnal or nocturnal sequence. Parent table — Planetary Hours.

Event Sequence

A graphical variant of the parent table. A table with calculations of past and future events (aspects of dynamic objects, aspects to antiscia and lots, planetary ingresses into signs, house changes, phase changes, ecliptic and equator crossings). It is also possible to take latitude parallels into account. From the context menu, you can choose whether to show the time column and set the number of rows for past and future events. Parent table —

Planetary Sects

A graphical variant of the parent table.

Aspect Grid

A graphical variant of the parent table. In addition to aspect symbols, the upper part of the cells indicates their dynamics: A — applying, S — separating, and the lower part of the cells shows the residual orb value rounded to the nearest degree.
From the context menu, you can specify that only aspect symbols be shown. This table can also display declination or latitude parallels, but only when the “Symbols only” option is active.

Aspect List

Display of information on aspects (antiscia and parallels) as a list. If a red line is shown at the bottom of the table, it indicates that there are calculated data that did not fit in the table. In this case, from the context menu you can increase the number of displayed rows. Clicking on the selected row in the table will open a window with the dynamics of that aspect. Context menu:

You can, for example, use both sorting options — “Sort by orb” and “Applying aspects first”, which allows you to sort the aspect list by orb while displaying applying aspects separately from separating ones. Tooltips for rows are also implemented. This is useful, for example, when stars are involved in aspects.

Nearest Stations

Display of information on the nearest object turnarounds. From the context menu, you can select whether the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) will participate in the calculations. Parent table — Phases Relative to the Sun.
