Ingresses and Phases

This calculation module is designed to find the exact dates of ingresses (transitions of planets into new Zodiac signs) and moments of changing motion phases (stations turning retrograde or direct). You can perform the calculation for any selected object (septener + North Node).
Calculation Settings
The following parameters are available in the top panel of the window:
- Select object: A drop-down list (icon on the left) allows you to select a specific planet for analysis.
- Year and Period: Set the starting year and the search span (in years).
- Event Type: Two checkboxes on the right allow you to filter the results:
- I (Ingresses) — if enabled, the program will search for moments when zodiac sign boundaries are crossed.
- R (Retrograde / Phases) — if enabled, the program will find the dates of planetary stations.
Results Table
After clicking the “Calculate” button, a chronological list of events is generated:
- Exact date and time of the event (in UT format).
- Event symbol (e.g.,
>means ingress). - Zodiac sign (or indication of the motion phase) the planet is entering.
Context Menu
Right-clicking any row in the table brings up a menu with additional options:
- Apply to dial (1-4): Instantly rebuild the selected working chart dial to the exact date and time of the calculated ingress or station.
- Zodiac signs as abbreviations: Allows you to toggle the display of signs in the table between three-letter Latin abbreviations (e.g., Ari, Tau, Gem) and classical astrological symbols.
- Export: You can copy the table data to the clipboard (as text or an image), and save the results to a text file (TXT).
