This calculation module is primarily designed for specialists practicing the methods of the Hamburg School of Astrology (HSA / Uranian astrology). It allows you to calculate the exact moments when planetary pictures are formed by the interaction of a dynamically unfolding chart with the natal chart. The program allows you to search for both transit (Tr) and directional (Dir) coverings simultaneously. Please note: Solar Arc direction is always used for calculating directional coverings.

Calculation Settings

In the right part of the panel, you can set the necessary parameters:

Calculation Algorithms (Planetary Pictures)

The program supports three classical algorithms (equations) for finding events, which can be combined using the corresponding checkboxes:

  1. Ad = Br: A dynamic (transit or directional) object A forms an aspect to a natal object B taking into account the selected dial scale.
  2. Ad = Ar/Br: A dynamic object A forms an aspect to a natal midpoint consisting of the namesake natal object A and any other natal object B.
  3. Ad/Ar = Br: A midpoint between a dynamic object A and the namesake natal object A forms an aspect to any natal object B. Additional option: Next to the Objects button is an unnamed checkbox — this is the setting to Consider integer natal factors on the opposite side of the axis.

Reading the Results Table

The table generates a chronological list of calculated planetary pictures. Rows with directional events (Dir) are highlighted with a background color to visually distinguish them from transit events (Tr). The columns display:

  1. Type of progression (Dir or Tr).
  2. Dynamic part of the equation (object or midpoint).
  3. Symbol of the formed aspect (determined by the selected dial scale).
  4. Natal part of the equation (Nat).
  5. Exact date and time the covering is formed.
  6. Age: The native’s exact age at the moment of the exact hit.

Context Menu

As in other calculation modules, right-clicking on any row in the table allows you to Apply the selected event to any of the chart dials for visual analysis of the planetary picture. You can also export the table to PDF, PNG, TXT formats, or copy the data to the clipboard.
