Phases Relative to the Sun

This calculation block is designed to find the exact moments of planetary phase changes (relative to the Sun) within a specified time range. Such phases include stations (transitions from direct to retrograde motion and vice versa), as well as exact conjunctions of planets with the Sun.
Calculation Settings
In the right part of the window, you can configure the search parameters:
- Time range: Set the start date and the number of years (period) for which the calculation is to be performed.
- Planet selection: Use the checkboxes to mark the planets whose phases you want to track (in the screenshot, Mercury and Venus are selected).
Reading the Results Table
After clicking the “Calculate” button, a chronological list of events is generated with the following columns:
- Event symbol: Displays the planet and the nature of the phase change:
R— the planet becomes retrograde (station before retrograde motion).D— the planet becomes direct (station before direct motion).☌— the moment of exact ecliptic combustion.
- Station: The exact date and time of the phase formation (in UT).
- Position: The zodiacal coordinate of the planet at the moment of the phase change.
- Elapsed: This column shows the time interval that has passed from the search start date to the moment this event occurs (expressed in days (d), hours (h), minutes (m), or years (y)).
