Database

Files and folders are shown in the left part. Events are saved to files, and files can be grouped into folders. All manipulations with files and folders (creating, copying, pasting, renaming…) are performed via the context menu.

Context Menu for Folders and Files

• Load to Event Pool — loads all events from the selected file into the Event Pool. A choice will be offered — whether to replace all current events with the selected ones, or to add the selected ones to the existing ones.
• Save — allows you to save an event to the selected file. Before doing so, the corresponding commands must be selected from the dial menu, the event edit window, or the left panel.
• Create Folder — creates a new folder in the current folder. It can then be renamed.
• Create File — creates a new file in the current folder. It can also be renamed.
• Delete — deletes the selected files or folders.
• Rename — allows you to rename the selected file or folder.
• Cut — places the selected file (or folder) in the clipboard for subsequent pasting elsewhere.
• Paste — adds events from the clipboard to the end of the file.
• Search — all types of search are concentrated in one window: search by criteria, by name, by comment, by date range. Found events are placed in a file whose name can be selected in the same window (default: “Found”). Events from this file can be imported into the Event Pool.
• Analytics — open the “Analytics” block (see below).

Analytics

This block allows you to identify patterns among the selected events. Before doing so, you need to select one or more files with events participating in the analysis. Before starting the calculation, the user is prompted to enter the Threshold parameter, which is used to filter out those results whose recurrence percentage is less than the specified value. This will exclude redundant information. You can also filter the events participating in the analysis by their Rodden rating value.

Currently analyzed:

• Objects in zodiac signs — only those objects are displayed whose frequency of presence in the corresponding zodiac signs is not less than the threshold value.
• Objects in houses — only those objects are displayed whose frequency of presence in the corresponding houses is not less than the threshold value.
• Rising sign — all zodiac signs are displayed with information about the percentage of the Ascendant’s presence in them.
• Retrograde — all object signs (except luminaries) are displayed with information about the percentage of their being in retrograde state.
• Moon phases — the percentage of charts in which the Moon is waxing is displayed.

In the future, this calculation will be supplemented with analytical methods. For example, the interrelationships of objects with each other are next in line.

Event List

Having selected a specific file in the Database, in the right part we will see a list of events it contains. By default, this list is arranged in the order in which it is stored in the file. If you need to sort by some other parameter, you can click on the header of the corresponding column. Clicking the same header again will sort the events in the reverse direction.

Event rows can be dragged with the mouse within the event list.

If a comment exists for an event, it will be shown in the lower part of the window.

The relative distances between these parts, as well as the parameter columns, can be changed. To do this, hover the mouse cursor over the border between the necessary areas, and as soon as the cursor changes, click the left mouse button and drag in the desired direction.

Various manipulations can be performed on events from the list by calling up the context menu.

Quick search of events in the current file by a specified fragment of the event name or comment is implemented.

Event Operations

Thus, the selected event can be: applied to a specific dial, deleted, edited, copied, cut, pasted, and saved. The last two items are relevant when there is an event in the clipboard. The difference between them is as follows:

• Load to Event Pool — places the selected events in the Event Pool. A choice will be offered — whether to replace all current events with the selected ones, or to add the selected ones to the existing ones. The “Close window” option determines whether this window should be closed after importing/copying events to the Event Pool.
• Apply to dial — apply the event to one of the 4 dials.
• Close window — if this option is activated, after the event is applied to one of the dials, the database window closes.
• Delete — delete the selected events.
• Edit — edit the event.
• Copy — the selected event records are placed in the clipboard.
• Cut — the selected event records are placed in the clipboard, from where they can then be moved to any other location in the database. At the same time, they will be deleted from the previous rows.
• Paste — inserts events from the clipboard that were previously copied or cut into the row located below the selected event.
• Font — change the font of this window.

Above the event list there is a bar showing the full path of the selected event.

Building Specialized Charts

From the Database, various types of charts can be built for selected events. To select events arranged consecutively, click on the first event, press and hold the SHIFT key, and then click on the last event. If the event rows are non-adjacent, press and hold the CTRL key and click on each of the events you want to select.

Types of charts that can be built from the Database:

• Solar equations — you need to select 2 or more events.
• Davison Relationship Chart - requires 2 events to be selected. For the calculation of Davison charts, an option is implemented that allows geodetic coordinates to be calculated not by the arithmetic mean, but by the spherical mean.
• Composite — you need to select 2 events.

By activating the Quick Preview option , each click on the selected event will automatically apply it to the base dial.
