Geomap Settings


This dialog window allows you to configure the display parameters of astrocartographic lines and parans on the geographical map. Settings are divided into two tabs: “Main” and “Parans”.

”Main” Tab

Geomap settings: main This is where the basic parameters for displaying planetary lines at the chart angles and visual interface settings are configured.

Planets at Angles In the right part of the block, the projection type for calculating angular lines is selected:

Additionally in this block, you can enable the display of lines of planetary conjunctions with the Vertex and Anti-Vertex. If necessary, you can activate the display of major and minor aspects to the angular lines by checking the desired aspects in the corresponding panel.

Local Space Section

Visual Parameters and Orbs In the lower part of the tab, the following are configured:

”Parans” Tab

Geomap settings: parans Parans are latitudinal lines showing geographical points where two planets are simultaneously located at the chart angles (for example, one is rising while the other is culminating).

Working with the Paran List

In addition to the graphical display of lines on the map, the program provides a detailed tabular list. It can be called up directly on the geomap by right-clicking on a location of interest and selecting “Local Paran List” from the context menu. The list will be calculated for the specific location taking into account the orb you have set.
