Step Configuration and Controls
The panel is divided into two main blocks: Latitude and Longitude. Within each, you can independently change degrees, arc minutes, and arc seconds. For each unit of measurement, you can:
- Set the step: In the text field, specify the value by which the coordinate will shift with each click on the “left” or “right” arrows.
- Mouse wheel: By hovering your cursor over any arrow button, you can smoothly adjust coordinates simply by scrolling your mouse wheel.
- Sliders: Next to each field are sliders for faster, more flexible manual coordinate shifting.
The top of the window displays the current, dynamically changing coordinates (e.g., N40°46'00" W073°59'00"). The button with the map pin icon allows you to quickly select another base city from the program’s built-in database.
Panel Control Buttons
At the bottom of the window are three control buttons:
- Start automatic animation: The program will automatically shift the chart coordinates using your specified aggregate step, allowing you to visually observe the movement of the house grid or planets across the map.
- Synchronize dials: Allows you to simultaneously affect the coordinates of multiple active dials.
- Restore original data: Returns the chart coordinates to their initial settings, resetting all your manual adjustments.
Context Menu
Right-clicking on the “Location Dynamics” panel opens a menu with additional options:
- Load to Event Pool: If you’ve found the perfect coordinates for a move or a Solar Return, you can instantly save this event to the Event Pool for future work.
- Delay (ms)…: Allows you to set an artificial pause in milliseconds between automatic animation steps to slow down the process and examine the on-screen changes in more detail.
