Global Settings

Unlike most other program parameters, which are tied to specific configurations, Global Settings always apply, regardless of which configuration you are currently using. They are accessed through the main menu: Settings ➔ Global Settings.

The window is organized as tabs for convenient navigation through parameter groups.

”General” Tab

This is where the basic interface and data display settings are collected:

• Coordinate rounding rules: Determines how the program rounds seconds and fractions of degrees: up or down.
• Main menu / Status bar / Toolbar: Allows you to show or hide these program interface elements. For the toolbar, you can also configure the icon size, as well as configure the panel itself by pressing the button .
• Language: Selection of the interface language (Russian and English are available).
• Show dial data in the program header: When activated, summary data for all active chart dials will be displayed in the window title bar.
• Show aspect dynamics with symbols: Switches the display mode of application (applying aspects) and separation (separating aspects) in tables: either with the letters A and S, or with arrows >< and <>.

”Fonts” Tab

Allows you to customize the visual styling of text and symbols:

• Glyphs: Selection of the astrological symbol set for planets and signs.
• Interface font / left panel font / monospace font: Configuration of the main program font, the font for the “Event Pool”, and the monospace font for tables and data.
• Font for interpretation texts and tooltips: Determines how the blocks with author interpretations and tooltips will look.
• Font family for small chart elements: Font sizes for elements are set for each of them individually.
• Colored font in tables: Enables or disables text highlighting in tables in accordance with the colors of planets and aspects.

”Paths” Tab

System directories are specified here; moreover, they can be defined in cloud services for access from different devices on which the astroprocessor is installed:

• Path to the Swiss Ephemeris files.
• Path to the user Database (city lists, coordinates, etc.).

”Location” Tab

Allows you to set default geographic coordinates. This location will be automatically substituted when creating a new chart, if no other location is specified.

”Texts” Tab

This tab is designed for managing user interpretation files. You can create or edit your own texts in any text editor. To do so, the following rules must be followed:

• Formatting: Semantic blocks in the text must be separated by a line with three asterisks (***).
• Syntax:
  • Stars: The star name must be at the beginning of the block.
  • Half-sums: At the beginning of the line — the abbreviation of the half-sum or single object (e.g., MA/HA), followed by the interpretation.

  • Sensitive points: Line format a/b=c (e.g., MA/PO=VP).

  MA/PO=VP Spiritual activity in public, ideological activity in public, clear public will, to establish clarity in the public, cultural work for the public, reasonable actions of the public

  MA/PO=MC Penetrating spiritual activity, cultural work imbued with soulfulness, the influence of the spiritual soul, my clear will, my spiritual work, my ideological activity, my cultural work, my reasonable actions, my spiritual activity, soul-spiritual power.

  • Planets in houses/signs and aspects: The 2nd line of the text will be displayed in the header of the interpretation window (usually this is the author and title of the text). An interpretation block begins with a tag in square brackets (e.g., [SU.01] — Sun in house 1, [SU.120.MO] — Trine of Sun and Moon). The text after the closing bracket on the same line will be shown as a heading. All subsequent lines are the interpretation text, up to the next opening square bracket. To use interpretations, call up the context menu of the object (if interested in interpreting its position in a house or sign) or of the aspect.
• Object abbreviations The same abbreviations are used as in the Lots. One clarification: since for the interpretation of planetary pictures it does not matter whether the true or mean node is used, instead of NNt and NNm you should write NO.
• Comments: Lines beginning with // are ignored by the program. The second comment line in the file will be displayed as the source name in the interpretation window header.

”Sunrise” Tab

Precise adjustment of astronomical parameters for calculating sunrise and sunset times:

• Reference point: You can choose whether to consider the appearance of the upper edge, center, or lower edge of the disc as sunrise.
• Refraction: Whether to take atmospheric refraction (bending of light rays) into account.
• Consider twilight as day: This option allows the period of civil, nautical, or astronomical twilight to be counted as daytime.

”Scene Context Menu” Tab

Allows you to flexibly configure the composition of the context menu that appears when right-clicking on an empty space on the chart. You can add or remove frequently used commands and tools from it to optimize your workflow.
