Types of Directions:
In this block, the Alexandrian Directions are calculated in a given time range.
The oblique ascents of the signs are shown above the table.
There are two algorithms:
The other elements of this block are similar to the block "Primary Directions".
Starting from 0° of Aries in direct ascension, Asc and MS (270°) are set. The next step, +30° RA to Asc. Then, the cursor marks the arc passed from MS (270°) to MS (1) in direct ascent, for Asc by 30°. The arc passed from MS (0) to MS (1) in RA is taken as an ascent (anafora) for the Aries sign. Again to 30° + 30° = 60°. And then, an arc is detected from MS (1) to MS (2) in RA. The value of the arc is taken as the ascent (anafora) for the sign Taurus. Back to 60° + 30° = 90°. The arc from MS (2) to MS (3) in RA is taken as an ascent (anafora) for the Gemini sign....
It is commonly believed that: Aries (Pisces), Taurus (Aquarius), Gemini (Capricorn), Cancer (Sagittarius), Leo (Scorpio) and Virgo (Libra) are signs of equal ascension. It is important to imagine that the calculations for direct ascension are transferred to the ecliptic, according to the homeomerism of Anaxagoras. Now, then we can call affine transformations. Alexandrian Directions, then the kinematics of elements by the coefficients of ascent of signs (anafora) to the latitude of the place. If the sign changes, then the kinematics coefficient also changes. (Paul of Alexandria; Chapter 34; "On Crises").
P.S. According to the ascents of signs (OA), the magnitude of the ascent, such signs as Libra (Virgo) will be less than the magnitude of the ascent of Scorpio (Leo). The last discrepancy of the ancient model is allegedly explained by the legacy of the arithmetic progression for signs that passed from the Chaldeans to the Greeks. Which is essentially declarative. Since the fact remains unexplained, why ancient astrologers continued to duplicate the same variant of the ascent of signs to the climate. As I believe, the above demonstrated calculation option clearly indicates the correctness of the sources, and not their subsequent commentators. Perhaps, if we had tables relevant for early epochs. Everything would become even clearer. In the meantime, we will call this variant a model of the ascent of signs from MS, with the transfer of values from the first segment (the celestial equator) to the second plane (the ecliptic).
In addition to selecting aspects, it is possible to assign exceptions. Namely, for certain objects (promissors), all aspects except connections will be ignored.
